Low Clearance

UNIQUE VEHICLES REQUIRE SPECIALIZED TRANSPORTERS

Every vehicle Reliable Carrier transports receives top-tier care and attention. But some vehicles require customized service due to their technical fabrication. From our specialized haulers to the size of our fleet, moving these unique vehicles is one of our hallmarks.

When the Chrysler Procurement and Supply Logistics office needed to schedule delivery of new Dodge Viper RT 10, they knew exactly who they could trust with the vehicle’s unusual requirements.

Due to the vehicle’s low ground clearance, it could not be transported with tie-downs. The low approach angle meant Viper RT 10 could not be loaded into a transporter via ramp without damaging the front fascia. Additionally, special security was needed to keep curious onlookers or potential thieves away from the coveted vehicles.

Reliable Carriers worked closely with the Viper team to establish a process for easy vehicle loading and unloading. Trucks outfitted with hydraulic lift gates eliminated the approach-angle issue. Dimensionally correct trucks held the vehicles securely without the use of tie-downs. To keep vehicles hidden (and unexposed to the elements or road debris), fully enclosed Reliable trucks were driven inside Viper assembly plant for loading.

The results were Viper RT 10s being delivered without issue, on time, to the satisfaction of our clients.
